This Smith and Wesson K-38 Target Masterpiece is a vintage medium framed double action target revolver chambered in .38 Special. Manufactured circa 1949, it features a blued finish about 95%, pinned 6” barrel with a partially serrated wide sighting rib, raised 1/8” patridge front sight, micrometer click adjustable rear sight, serrated .265” anti-backlash trigger with adjustable stop, short cocking action, .375” short throw semi-target hammer, square butt K target frame with six groove grip straps, and two-piece diamond checkered walnut Magna grips with silver Smith and Wesson medallions. Includes the original factory two-piece gold cardboard picture box with gold metal corners with instructions printed on the inside of the box lid. All observed serial numbers are matching. The finish has minor high point edge wear, a cylinder drag line, and some scattered superficial scratches. The action is smooth with a very good lockup. The bore is excellent and the matching wood grips are very good. This firearm condition is near NRA very good in box. Own a piece of history!
